"My paintings are meditations on the place of encounter between the world of archetypes and the phenomenal world. The work explores the relationships between form, symbol, emotion and the psyche, it is an investigation of the idea that both matter and the unconscious are informed by an organic logic. I derive my personal lexicon of imagery from contemporary, as well as, ancient symbols, shapes and signage. I aim to create images that carry their own specific energy recognizable by the unconscious."
