Frank Cissne painted with studios in Dallas and Tulsa for over 25 years. Now living in Southern California, Cissne is currently represented by the prestigious Lacy Primitive and Fine Art Gallery located in Los Angeles. Private representation is by Malibu Place located in Beverly Hills, California. His paintings are found in collections including that of Stanley Marcus. Publications listing Cissne include the Annotated Bibliography of Art by John Held, Jr., Dallas Metropolitan Library Archives; Art Archives, Ryosuke Cohen, Moriguchi, Osaka, Japan; and Art and Film, Dr. Klaus Grossm, Edewecht, Germany. The style that Frank has developed is called Impasto-Impressionism. Trees, flowers and other landscapes are sometimes raised in layers more than an inch from the canvas. Cissne's work is usually rendered by commission only. Because Frank applies a unique style that is exclusively his own, he describes his method of accepting and executing a commission as a creation "for the person." Each piece is extraordinary and although the majority are massive, sizes are unlimited. Throughout his career Cissne has worked closely with galleries, interior designers and architects. |
