July 4^th - Independence Day Celebration and Family Fun Day - Live music put on by John Carpino & the Hot Cappuccinos (60’s & 80’s hits) from 7:00-9:00 pm at Green Valley Park followed by fireworks after dark displayed over Green Valley Lake.  Games and other activities for all ages will be held from 3 – 5, For more information, please call 474-5242 x7.

July 4^th - 7D Progressive Barrel & Pole Bending Series – Books open at 5:30 pm with competitions starting at 6:30 pm.  For more info, call Charlene Hunt at 474-5242, ext. 260.

July 6^th - First Friday on Main Street – Sponsored by Main Street Merchants Guild. 5 pm – 8 pm, first Friday of each month.  Additional information, call Brenda Mooney at 928-472-4323. 

July 6^th – 4^th Annual Home Run Derby – Each team will be playing for prize money, which will be donated to a local non-profit organization.  All players will receive a t-shirt and trophies will be awarded.  Held at Rumsey II Ball-field. 

July 7^th - Artists of the Month Reception – Artists’ Reception held at 408 E. Main St. #3 from 4 pm – 7 pm, sponsored by Artists of The Rim. Free admission.  Featured artists:  Carole & Alan Snyder, James Garrity.  Additional info, contact Carolee Jackson - 476-6423.

Looking Ahead

Payson is home to the World's Oldest Continuous Rodeo every year and is hosted by Rim Country Regional Chamber of Commerce. The event is held on the 3rd weekend in August and runs for 3 days. This year, we enjoyed our 122nd consecutive year. Check back next year and DON'T MISS IT.
