Is Your Sun | | There
are 3 tribes in New Mexico, namely, Navajo Nation, Pueblos, and Apache Tribes.
There are 19 Pueblos of New Mexico and they are oldest tribal communities in the
U.S. The name descended from the ancestral Pueblo cultures that once inhabited
Chaco Canyon, Mesa Verde and Bandelier. Out of these 19 Pueblos, there are 5 in
the Albuquerque area. You are welcomed to attend their gatherings, however, when
visiting a tribal community, remember that this is home to living cultures and
people. Give them the respect they deserve. Abide by their
etiquette and you will enjoy your visit. |
We suggest that you take a tour of the Indian
Pueblo Cultural Center before attending so that you gain more insight into
the culture of these Pueblos.List of Pueblos
