The Albuquerque Queen of Hearts Ball is a charity event to recognize the outstanding service or accomplishments of Albuquerque area women whose personal contribution to community and family is especially appreciated. The ball also is a significant fundraising event for the Albuquerque chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Nominations for the award are taken for the Albuquerque Queen of Hearts and published here. The winner was announced at the first annual Queen of Hearts Ball on February 12, 2005.

Nominations

Nominations were made by submitting an E-mail nomination including the nominee's full name, address, and telephone number and a description (500 words or less) of the personal community or family contribution she has made and how that contribution affected others. A brief biographical sketch was also included. The nominator had to include his/her full name, address, and telephone number. All information and photos submitted becomes the property of welcome2albuquerque.com and may be published and edited. Submitting an attached photo was encouraged, but was not required. Nominees must be women, eighteen or older, who reside within 50 miles of Albuquerque. Some nominees were recognized at the ball on February 12, 2005.

Voting

Area residents may vote for any nominee only once. Only one vote per e-mail address is counted.
