The City of Albuquerque is divided into four quadrants: Northeast, Southeast, Northwest, and Southwest. The north/south dividing line is Central Avenue, and the east/west line is Broadway.

The two largest cities within the metro area are Albuquerque and Rio Rancho and are encompassed in Sandoval and Bernalillo counties. Rio Rancho has grown since its incorporation in 1981, and today has more than 55,000 residents. Our total growth from 1999-2000 was 21%.
